Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By DD215 Fri Nov 09, 2007 5:21 am
So I just started out on my new to me but used 2000 XL. I've got a couple kicks, snares, and high hats. And then I've got some some old soul sample. I figured out how to chop the drums & samples and I now have them on my pads in Pad Bank (A). I know how to record and delete what I record, but nothing is on beat when I do record. I'm not sure how to use timestretching to help or what? Or where to go from here? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Dave

Have you enabled the QUANTIZE option? Also try to speed up your samples by a fraction of 16 in the TRIM screen and see what happens.

How do I enable Quantize? Humh...for the fraction of 16 process? I can get to trim (Shift + 5), can you tell me what I would I do next for this step? Thanks for responding, and giving me something to work w/. I appreciate the help.
