Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

$17 cf drive. Will this work with an MPC-2000. Mine is dead in the water right now. When i try to select a device (zip) it gives me WAIT....... forever. I think its my floppy drive. I need a zip drive. That would be awesome

have you saved anything to your CF card? cuse i have one of these card readers and i cant save nothing to my CF card but i can load stuff from it.

update the firmware on the drive it is only reading. cant remember exactly where to get it but just search and you will find it.

Found this in a search:

"Avoid IDE only. Look for ATAPI or SCSI. IDE is non-removable, meaning it will work, but you will not be able remove or insert the card while the MPC is on."

Thanks for the info. i ordered one a couple of days ago. Is it just a case oif making sure its set to master and swapping it with my internal zip?

my drive is working fine. loading and saving. thats not the firmware downloads at the bottom of that page. ill try to search for them again. i saw them but i cant remember exactly where.

damn that sucks ima try n replacing my IDE ribbon cable i think that might be my problem
