note off problems

i've got some problems with the note off function. i try to explain the problem when i tell you what i do. i have 3 diffrent sounds on one pad :

1. i put 3 sounds to the note off function (it works fine)
2. i layer down the melody (with those 3 sounds) onto a track. i put the pads directly after each other, because i don't want any empty space in the melody. do you know what i mean???

now the problem :

after i recorded the melody, sometimes one sound cuts off too early and i get this empty space of no sound that i don't want. i don't understand why the mpc cuts this sound off so early???

can someone tell me why it is like this? can someone tell me how i can make it work properly??
