midi keys question !!

i have downloaded sounds on my mpc 1000 and would like to know if i can control them from a midi key board, thanks...

start by using this mapping for the machine.

the keys on a gm keyboard corresponds to the pads on the mpc but the mapping is not in sequence from pad 1 to 16. This link shows the mapping for a gm drumset which would also apply to if you were using a keyboard or another similar device
