has anyone ever encountered this problem and did they find a fix?
would it be as simple as reseating the memory or should i buy new memory?

Your SIMM sockets may be bent inward. I had this exact same problem, good memory that was not being read by my MPC. I sent my unit to FORAT and they repaired it for me.

They replaced my SCSI fuse which cost $15 for the part and installed spacers under my SIMM sockets. They lumped the two labor jobs together on the invoice ($85) so I can't say, but give them a call they are good peeps!

iight thanks... what about shipping? did you have to pay that? it would probably be like 50 there + 50 back plus duty charged by the US/Canada border....

they are located in Cali right?

I paid like $15 UPS ground there (Cali) and $23.00 back (Fl).
