Anyone actually use Audio Tracks?

If so please describe your setup and workflow and how it changed your whole deal TIA

i didn't use em til tbonus or someone suggested recording all of your midi stuff onto a single Atrack before leaving your home studio so you can take it with you when you go portable

it's like a "freeze" option. you still have the midi tracks, but they dont end up anywhere, but instead you have what sound they WOULD have made in audio track

otherwise i don't use them, and i do the above rarely. if i'm going to be working with audio files rather than tiny clips, i'd rather do it on Reaper where i have more control.

audio tracks are the best thing that happened to do acapella remixes on the MPC. Just set the metronome playing at the appropriate BPM and record the acapella from the vynil to an audio track. Then just add the beat and samples.
This is much better than setting the acapella as a sample.

yo, i like to get the tracks to record mad hand played breaks live off my sps1 or my analog synths (perhaps thru the onboard mpc fx/comp) into my mpc, then youve got well trimmed loops that can funk in n out of time but stay ontime overall, lay 8 or so down, then mute' em into a peice, then bounce that. or sometimes turn each track's audio loops into a patched phrase - best if theyre all autochopped first then they come out all uniquely sliced. and then run 'em all in a straight 8x sample/oneshot program while wabbing q-link=tempo all over the shop. thru more fx.

i use it an almost on every track. i dont use a pc or a porta studio so its perfect. just add something synth ,bass whatever, if it fits keep it,if not retry. if you like to save space or tracks makem samples and trigger them. whats not to like about audio tracks. We seem to forget how stupifying this audio in thing was when JJ appeared.

can u guys explain what audiotracks is and how it's used becuz there's nothing in the manual on it

down with audio tracks! they should implement direct record from the mpc2500 akai OS. it's a lot more useful.

i don't use audio tracks due to all it's limitations compared to direct record.

i would love audio track if we could use it as a looper...

direct record is exactly what it says, you directly record onto whatever track you want while your sequence is playing.

I use audio tracks all the time- basslines- or anything done with the keys- sometimes I sample it chop it up, and play it on the mp, but normally straight audio tracks

I've been meaning to ask: do audio tracks stream from the CF Card/HD or are they loaded to RAM, I'm guessing RAM yeah?
