Pretty much any synth is good for hip hop, it all depends on YOUR style, and if you know how to freak it. Play with it a lil at the store. I got it and love it, its kinda difficult to use, but after a while you get the hang of it. MOST of the sounds are banging, and the ones that are wack, you can get expansion boards to make them better. Its a good piece to have because it had a ton of different sounds, 16 part multi timbral, and can do 128 polyphony.

Handshake the MPC and the Triton(ins to outs, outs to ins) and use the thru on the triton to the in on the Mo, and the out on the Mo to the in B on the MPC. You are going to have to turn your local on and off to use one board or the other.
I dont understand your other question man. My bad. I sample all my drums off my boards into my MPC. I have no idea how to work a triton so I can't help you out.

Nero;
I think you are sending or receiving program changes in/out of theTriton or the same for the MPC. Check that and turn it off of either instrument that is the cause.
Oh. One more thang. I'm surprised that you feel as though you need another synth like the Motif. The Triton alone is a handful. If it's about more sounds, you can cop those as add on boards or you can program it yourself and create new ones. I may be outta line, but you probably can make do without spending that kind of money.
Peace and good luck.
