Midi keyboard - pitch bend and mod thru MPC 2500

is there a reason why I cant use the pitch bend and mod wheels on my keyboard to affect the samples in the MPC? , I can trigger the samples from the keyboard but the wheels dont affect the sample , is this normal? I'm still new to this midi keyboard stuff

Yes, the reason is the MPC doesn't support it. The only thing you can do I believe is record those MIDI signals in the sequencer if you want to, say, control another rack synth connected to the MPC.
