your definitely right about the lower buffer settings, set it as low as possible and it seems to take away synch problems...i had some synch problems when recording my tracks from the mpc out separately, but i found that it was because my buffer setting was at 1024, at 512 (lowest for me) it's not noticeable.

does anybody know where to plug in my monitor speakers on a mbox 2 since the main out on my behringer mixer is used by my mbox 2 which only has 1 mon out for my monitors. sorry if this sounds stupid but i am new to all of this (pt) im just used to using my mpc with my motif or just reason. all this computer stuff is very confusing. thanks in advance

I have the mpc set up as instructed on this thread. I am having an issue with the play record mode. It seems to punch out after a four bar loop. This does'nt happen to me when using CubaseSx3. I can leave the play record on when using CubaseSx3 and it will cycle thru to the beginning and the mpc will still be in play and record mode. I do this to audition sounds and start a drum pattern while recording midi in protools via RTAS plugins. Is there a setting that I missed on the mpc or protools?

Any help is appreciated.

I did everything here and im not getting any sound out the mpc.I have reason and mpc 1000 synced and i wanna track out my mpc sounds but when i press play all i hear is my reason sounds and no mpc.The green lights show up on the mbox but no sound comin in whatsoever.I have my tracks set up right ready to record but no sound from the mpc that ish is driving me crazy

IS THERE ANY WAY TO SAVE THIS SO I CAN LOOK BACK AT IT LATER????

Correct

you can use 3rd party interfaces for the front end to control pro tools... but you still need an mbox or something of the like to actually run protools.

How about digidesign midi machine control
