he means: it costs akai less than $50 for each set. fact of the matter is they buy loads at once, which keeps the cost down. you'd need to buy thousands of the pad fixes to get a cheap individual price.

So it's just like anything else out there where the company can get things cheap but the consumer pays more so the business can make profit. Then what's the point of saying it cost no more than $50?

It is disturbing that you would so willingly champion a business that makes a profit off of selling replacement parts for a defective product. Seeing where you are from I suspect it is some pent up right wing fascism getting the better of you. Do not let all the liberals get you down, the world is really a more balanced place than the NW would suggest. I would no sooner direct you to a place to build your own as you have proved quite obtuse. I suspect Nym may, his generosity is without the bounds I suffer. I would also proffer that if you play out more than in your bedroom you will likely find me sooner or later as our community of musicians that earn a wage is really quite small in your neighborhood, but do try to be a little less obtuse in person.

You really know nothing about me or my hobbies just from me posting on a music forum. You have no idea where I go or where I live. Seattle is all you see. I know no musicians besides people who play for fun or do stuff out of town. If you're in it to make money then good for you. It probably shows in your music.
