SAMPLES...

What is the best type (genre) of music to sample from??? What exactly are you looking for when trying to find a sample???? And when you do actually find a sample how do you chop it??? im having a few problem with sampling can anyone help out??? is there some type of video on how to chop samples??? GET AT ME!!!!

Okay, first think outside of the box. Don't look for want everyone else wants to put in their MPC. Just get things you like. Get some records, listen to them what ever sound you like just sample it. If it's a horn, a snare or a bass guitar riff, just record it lable it. You may not use it today, but in the future you may have a sound in your head and say i already recorded it just add some effects and now you can put it in a song.

when i do sample its all off beat and shit!!! i need to practice!!!!

Use some funk records. Those are always cool!!! If you have a sync problem, then try to turn on the metronome while looping. Also make shure that the sample starts at the first beat!!!
