Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

All you mpc 2000xl users,how do u go about making beats, describe in depth how u go about it, do you lay drums down first? start with a sample, how many bars do u use for ur first sequence, for a sample seqeunce etc, also where do u get drum sounds from? do u sample them, or use them pre made discs?

bro jus so you aint disapointed when no-one replies.. your gonna need to work that out for yourself... jus start diggin thru the posts... as for actually making beats, only you can do that... innovate.. besides theres dvd's out there if you really need em.

Everyone has a different way of creating there music. Its all based on your preference of how you feel comfortable doing it

All depends on what you come across and get inspired by.

For instance, you find a killer drum loop and want to use that. In that case you'd probably start out with the drums and take it from there. The same goes for main samples and basslines.

Mostly I start out with the main samples, then the drums then the bass and then I go back to the mains to find additional samples and/or play some additional stuff myself...
