Anyone experienced issues with their MPC screen with the $17. reader? The screen issue is mentioned here for the Addonics reader: http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=41102

sorry didnt mean to go mia. but ive been busy nursing a broken leg.
i had no probs with the screen when installing this drive. although i do know that if you install a drive with the wrong jumper settings to the ide port on the xl it will make the screen go blank on the bootup. but unplug and hook the drive up right and the problem resolves itself.
i tried to email the seller for info on bios for the drive just incase some of you needed to reflash it to be able to write. but i havent heard anything back from them.
what i can say is that my drive is working on read and write with no problems. i have a lexar 1gb card that i use.
i did order the black face drive and recieved the white instead. but i just shined that because i painted the drive face to match my front panel anyway.

mines not. but i obviously have a different drive than some other people have gotten hear. if i pull the card while the mpc is on it wont read in on the insert without a reset. not a prob for me cause all my sounds are on an internal hdd. i just use it for a backup of my ext hdd saves.

i can swtich cards while the mpc is on. What you do is go to "Device" and scroll to any scsi or any other and back to ATAPI and it should refresh the drive with the new card
thats a good idea i might get me a IDE cable from vst. lemme know how it goes with your reader

You'd be better off getting those from your local PC retailer for a fraction of the price.
