I have an MPC 1000 (blue) with the broken pads issue, but got a HD in it. If I was to sell it for $400 straight up on ebay would you y'all think it was a good deal? By the way the machine is comestically flawless other than the pads issue and it's on O.S 7. Also though the HD does funny things like every once in awhile when you try to load up a program it says "wrong file" and it wont load up, so it's critical you back up everything on the flash card. So, what do yall good folks think about if I was to post that on Ebay or something?

it says wrong file because the sample is not a 16 bit 44.1k sample.

I'm not an engineer but I'm certain I'm no jerk! I know what format the samples have to be in......it's after I make a beat save it the next day it's telling it's the wrong file. This happens with old beats that I made and new beats. One day I'm loading up my beats just fine and then all of sudden I can't load the program again. Please answer my main question though this is not a troubleshooting post I just want this machine out of my life. This thing is like an annoying girl that you smash I just cant seem to shake it. That's why I'm willing to sell it at a crackhead price!!!!!!!!!

as long as you are honest about the sale it should be no problem. I have sold burnt gear but have clearly labeled the problems with it. Just do the right thing and it will be an easy sale. Im not sure about $400 tho. If I was a buyer I would anticipate the pad fix and the HD possibly needing to be replaced which would bring me above the $600 they average at.

[quote="vladdymac"] it's on O.S 7. [quote]

what? there is no OS 7

if you're still using the old akai OS - 2.10 - there is a save bug in this. it
corrupts your files. do a search on this site, there's lots of info on this.

the main thing to remember is whenever you save - new folder, then SAVE
ENTIRE MEMORY.

the ironic bit is that there's also a bug that will crash the MP everytime you
try to make a new folder ---> so i've heard, i've never had that problem
personally.

get JJ. make your world happier.

except that you wanna sell it... so don't get JJ.
