the issue is confused
when at peak condition, the old mpc1000 pads are....ok. workable. some even say good. the problem isn't there.
the problem is when they start to break. that's why they are notorious.
imagine you've chopped a sample into 16 equal parts, velocity to level is at 100 and you've playing them from 1-16 right on across
to be using the same force on each and then have 1 pad just play at 50% velocity because the sensor has come in half is frustrating to say the least
