cant open most of my zip discs

i am getting this error on 4 of my 6 zip discs: this disc isnt formated, do you want to format this disc ? and even if i do it, it wont open. are they just broke or am i doing something wrong ? should i maybe have taken more care of them ?

Sounds like your disks got corrupt. Possibly from having them next to a pair of headphones or the like. Happened to me and my disk wasn't usuable again. I would be carefull using them just incase part of the track 0 on the zip disk might have gotten erased. If that happens your zip disk(s) will cause your drive to have a click of death trying to find the track 0 on the disk.

Sounds like you problem is that you have zip disks! :shock: :D
