To install OS2 you will need to have a registered old version of JJ OS:

So, on a new MPC1000 you'll need to:
1. install JJ OS1 (e.g. 4.93)
2. buy password for OS1 and enter it
3. install OS2
4. buy password for OS2 and enter it

so it's gonna cost 69$ in total (counting what you've spent on the current JJ OS).

You'll be able to check out OS2 without paying for the password - but SAVE won't work.

As long as you've already entered it in your MPC1000, it won't be a problem. OS2 will just need a registered JJ OS to install - you won't need to enter your OS1 password again. You WILL need a new OS2 password to SAVE from OS2 though...

What makes you think so - I can't see that from the preview screenshots?

Looks pretty cool. I like the grid idea somewhat. I might just stick with version 1 though, I'm not sure.

It looks like in the lower right corner that GPE screen where it has "sample 1" and then "chop 1, chop 2", then you just set the in-out points of the chops, and the mpc just plays that section, so its all the same sample, just programmed to play different parts of it. Similar to the ASR-X, ASR-10

I can't see it for the 2500 :O?

And another fee? Why the ****...

By hoosdat Sun Nov 18, 2007 11:51 am
I don't mind the fee.

From what i gather from the screenshots we get:

- ADSR envelopes!!
- MIDI/PAD/AUDIO tracks, just like akai's implementation, so that those of us who don't use audio tracks at all have the option!!

Let's hope that recordable track mutes work properly.

Edit: we also get keygroups!!!
