I want to be able to recall my custom midi note output assignments that i assigned in the midi/sync settings and also not have to select midi channel 1A every time i want to output midi. How can I get these settings saved and the recalled when I want them (preferably automatically upon start up). For now what I have done is saved an empty program which recalls the note assignments but not the setting for sending midi to 1A. Is using a saved program the best way to accomplish what I am looking to do? Is there any way to change the default settings? Please help. Thanks.

your on the right track. put that program in a sequence and put em in the autoload file ,
so every time you start up it's already loaded and assigned ready to go.
that should remember your midi settings ( I think , I'm not in front of my mp )

I have a sequence I made called ' default sequence ' so all my tracks are already named and assigned and stuff .

cool. This is some of the stuff i have been looking for dark_matter. Tell me something. I use my 1k like with the direct outs and the the ST channels playing either all drums or percussion parts. I was thinking there must be a way to load midi files into my 1k and have the drums play though the direct outs but the rest of the data routed to the a midi keyboard while muting the drums to reproduce what the midi has.

What this would mean for me is the engineer would still have control of the drums and can do what he needs with each component.
