On my MPC BK the pad upgrade could not be installed properly. The cable length available on my MPC BK (to attach to the electronic board sold with the pad upgrade kit) was insufficient. I could not secure the board to the metal mounting case after connecting the electronics. The cabling is at least 2 cm too short. I could install the kit eventually, but had to leave the electronic board loose underneath the metal casing. As a result, the plastic sheet with sensors was not aligned, and the part wich bends over the metal plate is a little twisted. One centimeter less in cable length and I would've not been able to mount the upgrade at all!
On my MPC BL I had absolutely no problem and the kit could be installed properly.
I have written to MPCstuff to signal the problem with copy to akai support.

just order one from MPCstuff like I did.
I got delivered at my door (in Paris) after 2 weeks.
With the current Euro Dollar exchange rate you will pay probably less than what they will charge for the pad fix in Europe (when and if it ever becomes available here). Each pad fix (i got two) cost me less than 130 Euro (plus 20$ for postage).

yes i had problem with my bk that the cable was not long enough. at first it seemed so, but when i tried pulling it very hard it turned out there was a few cm hiding in there , enough to attach it and leave it mounted as it should be.

im not angry on mpcstuff anymore! ;)
