Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By blakjak91 Sat May 08, 2004 12:11 pm
Had an MPC2000 for approximately 2 weeks with NO experience whatsoever so I'm afraid you'll all be hearing a lot from me! printed off the Bible guide as well as a few bits already mentioned in the forum. I must admit I'm already banging my head against the wall trying to get some basic beat loops together without me bursting into tears! Please give me hope people, is this machine gonna give me the joy it obviously does to you peeps...

Hell yeah!! It takes time for some. definitely have patience and make sure u read the MANUAL. long as u know the basics and how to do stuff, its ur talent from there. and just like anything else, pratice makes perfect. can't expect to be pro after a week! if ur serious, it'll come some enough. then you'll be like me and half the people in here, waking up and going to sleep with ur baby (MPC)! 8)

That's what I wanna hear! I'm a bit frustrated at the technical side I must admit but the beats and the sounds are in my head and my heart so it should be fun all the way....

just stick with it bro.. try experiementing for yourself and learn as many new things as possible. above all else!! make mistakes. eventually the mpc becomes as easy as playing a video game.

Lotta UK heads on here - more than I expected - Im makin progress on the 200xl and producin some really nice beats - love the funtionality which doesnt crush your creativeness. I just gotta get a handle on sampling now and when I get paid wanna get into that multisampling playin shit. Im tryin to master a feature a day - cant wait til i can work that slider thingy!
