I went to target and got a 128 megabyte usb jumpdrive keychain.It's off the hook,you just stick it in the usb-no drivers needed and I drop all my sequences onto that,I can carry a whole album worth of beats on my keychain or load all my samples and take over to my boys computer to dump in his 1000.....damn now that's technology....I highlyrecommend,it only cost like 60 beans.

Now explain how you get these two different connections to work together.

Since the MPC has the female usb B connector .Image

And jumpdrives require a female usb A connector

Did you buy one of these also?Image

And since the MPC is the unit "viewed" as the card reader device when hooked to a pc, then how exactly does it know to power the jumpdrive and dump over to it?

I'm curious..really.

The CF card reader in front of your MPC does exactly the same thing and the cf cards are even cheaper then that. So why do you complicate your life for nothing?

Besides, I really have hard time believing that it may work.

Sorry if I articulated it wrong,I meant to say plug the jumpdrive into your COMPUTER after you dump the 1000's sequences /samples to your computer,and carry around the jumpdrive on your keychain.NOT hooking it up to the 1000 directly.Heavans to megatroy,I know yall didn't think an A connector and a B connector would fit....c'mon guys...

abunchofsounds=LOL(don't **** with scotch though)
tonewrecker=damn son it's like you trynna catch me lyin' or somethin'.I either just worded it wrong or YOU just couldn't figga it out.
effekt=I did it so I wouldn't have to carry around a tiny card in my bag or loosely in my pocket to get lost.I just put everything in my keychain drive.It's just for convenience and piece of mind.
elmacaco=thanks for knowing what I was talking about

No doubt.

I'd rather carry a jump drive than risk loosing the card, no keychaing attachment and even if a card case had a chain it could pop open.
