Probs playing a preset program

Just got my 500 today. Went threw the first 3-4 pages in the search features & couldnt find the answer to my Q.

Can anyone tell me how to play a preset program?

Pg. 3 step 9 in the quick start manual says after pressing the pad the program should start playing but it isnt. I followed the instructions to the T. Been at it for hours with a friend. Please help !

I think I found the cause of the prob. Track mute was off.

After a little more messing around I think I may not of been hitting the pads hard enough. Had nothing to do with track mute being on or off.
