Help with sync'n mpc1k to protools

alright, i know this has been posted b4 but couldnt find in search.i have a powerbookg4,prottols 6.2.3(MBOX) and obvsly mpc1k.Man im very new to the mpc but shiet i think you can do a lot with this machine especially if you learn all the functions and all that im still very much in training"me and my ear"..also Thanks to all the people on this forum for helping especially the advanced experienced ones.
I know i probly be askin some dumb ass ques. but in like 6 months ill answer them for the other new cats.
Anyway was just wondering if any one can provide info like in a step by step direction.also if i need any special cables cause i dont have shiet!

Your goin to need midi cables first off..and if u look at some of the back pages in the forums you can find help with the step by step hook up...wen i get sometime i'll post back with some more tips
