Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

ive just started making beats using midi instead of sampling all the time and i want to know how to save midi beats. i have my mpc-2000xl sequencing my wk-1800 keyboard and i save the sequence on my mp but what do i save on the keyboard so that it plays the sounds set to the sequence instead of random sounds. it has a built in floppy drive on the keyboard. so is there a way to save the sequence on the mpc and save the sound sets on the keyboard too please help :!:

You can even save the keyboard's sound set up on the MPC. Do a search here for "sysex" or "sysex dump." Somebody asked about that recently. Basically, sysex is an aspect of midi that allows instruments/computers to talk to each other on a serious inner programming level.
