What do i need to accomplish this?

I have an MPC 2000 (Original) non XL. I want to make beats and be able to put them on a CD without the use of computer software. What do i need to do this? Is there an External CD burner. Also what is the st way to save an unfinished product, so I can pull it up later to finish. I know this is a very newbie type question, but I need to start somewhere.

Get a 8,12,16 track recorder and record your samples and patterns from the mpc into that via mixer and then burn it. A easy to use and simple hdd recorder will cost you 400-900

check ebay. They usually have the Tascam CDRW750's for sale cheap. You can record right to CD. As far as saving, its just safer to use save entire.Also, create a new folder for each project. If you learn early how to keep your files neatly organized you will never have problems.

You guys that don't like computers must have plenty of money to burn. Meaning that for every advancement with computers & s/w, hardware has a very hard time trying to keep up, let alone do some of the same chores.
