I finally have the cash to build a recording rig 
Finally after using reason for 2 years I have the cash to get some HARDWARE. I have a question... I cant for the love of god learn how to use live 6.07, cubase sx3, sonar 6,
so im guessing I should buy a usb interface and midi keyboard and record the sound from my vsts in a hardware 24 track recorder right? So far my list of hardware to buy is:
TASCAM DP-01FX/CD 8-Track Hard Disk Recorder with CD Burner $500
or
TASCAM 2488mkII 24-Track Digital Portastudio Recording Workstation $800
KRK RP-8 Rokit Powered 8 Reference Studio Monitor $500
Lexicon OMEGA interface $200
Yamaha MG124CX 12-Channel Mixer With Effects $320
Shure Sm57 $100
Korg Triton Extreme $1700
MPC 2000xl $650
what should i do for effects??? this is where im stuck i have decent effects on the computer with reason, should i buy hardware effects racks?
My budget is 6500 i also have to buy a new computer but I can build comps myself so i should save money with that.
