Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

this is one of those drives where you cant remove the cf card while its running... hence 'ide'

theyre ok i guess but if you want to be able to partition etc and feel safe about having data stored without a chance of it being lost (yanking it out) then dont go for it...

these are all over the place...

like i said this dude lunatic is lying..

i noticed that he has an internal HD to SAVE his files. there is no way that he saved to the card and all of his files were there once he turned the MP off and back on..

looks like i have to get an internal HD and use the CF card to load my sounds into the MP.

do not buy the reader, its READ ONLY!!

my drive is exactly as it came. and i was already running 1.2 in the mpc way before i put in the cf drive. i am running both the 12v and 5v power lines from the mpc board to it though. i dont know if maybe everyone else has it powered that way. i have read some people saying that you only need the 5v to operate the drives but i just pined out a new cable to run both voltages.

I wouldn't run both the power supplies that is recipe for disaster.

as far as im concerned, you did lie.. no hate from me.. the shht you was pushing doesnt work the way you said it does.

so far two people who have bought the SAME drive as you, from the SAME place, have readers that doesnt WRITES... and im willing to bet anyone else who buys this will have the same problem.

im all set with on your HD offer, i have many drives of my own lying around the crib. im skipping all of this cheap way out shht and paying for a real drive from VST..

im not pushing anything. buy what you want to. i have some money to burn. i ordered the drive. and it works in my mpc. if yours dont work then sorry for you. but mine does. so what did i lie about? i said that it was confirmed to be working in my mpc. worst case is that you put it in your pc and use it to transfer there. after you get your vst drive that is. if you want to get ripped off and pay $150 for a drive thats really worth about $30 then so be it. thats your right being human just like the rest of us. i already got 3 different drives that work with my mpc. so i didnt need to buy this drive. i just though i would scope out a possible upgrade for someone that doesnt want to get ripped on the akai drive. cause you and i both know it aint worth $150
