The 60 and bass...

So for anyone who uses the 60 standalone, do you got any tips on bass? I know a lot of peeps use the s950, but I would really like to keep everything in the 60 for now.
Do you sample bass notes and then 16 level 'em?
Sample it again with the lows turned up and high/mid down?
Try to find samples with good bass already in em?...lol
Anything?

eq before sampling... EVERYTIME...

16 level works nice.
Midi on the synth allows more intricacy.

Ducking is a good bass/percussion combo too. The sequences will sound awkward on the mp but once its through the compressor things get golden.

i decided to keep the 60 for now. Having no filters scares me, but Ima try to work around it.

Ducking, or sidechaining allows the input of one signal to reduce the output of another. Really handy for things that are in the same freq spectrum. To hear it in action listen to any recent productions by someone like Eric Prydz, who tends to abuse it, but it sounds good and gives the tune a "breathing" quality.

For bass on the 60 I either eq before sampling or just play with the placement of them. Or I play a bass guitar with it, which always seems to mesh quite well.

I use my Microkorg for the bass line, it got some good sub basse (use the Sine Waveform...or Square but the Sine sounds better to me)
