What exactly does this mean?

i take it to mean it jumps straight to the next sequence instead of waiting for a musically useful opportunity e.g. end of bar, end of quarter note (a la tr 808 fills)

this means you have to be INCREDIBLY on point with your timing or you are going to sound very very gay indeed. obviously i am a dub master and can drop to a new sequences with sample-accurate timing and pure solid funk but i fear for all the children who cannot even clap their hands on beat and yet are trying to add 62 types of notch filter to the mobb deep drum samples they got from ebay

actually jj, for the dubmaster echobox mute and solo jam session v3 funkbox os that you are building specifically for me can i have the following:

1. everything that was so hot about the rs7000 (no pattern length restrictions, crazy midi fx etc etc)

2. fisher-price mode for live use where we get tr808 style simplicity for jamming fills and live mixer breakdowns party peeeeeople yoyo get fonky yeaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwww just hit me

3. throw out all the fx and give me some radical tape echos and dub delays, that use the new osc features to create broken siren air horn mad laser king tubby chaos with a gritty sonic character all its own. the kaossilator is pretty hot on this stuff actually, i always thought that korg would make a DOPE mpc type unit if they ever could be bothered...

4. autosave option when in 'edit mode' which would be turned off in 'heavy performance live sensation mode'

So basicly JJ has taken one really inportant aspect of the sequence out??

I was planing on going live with this machine and would appreciate if i could change loops/sequence with just a button press while doing other stuff...

So, for me the new OS is just garbage then?

6. The Next sequence in a main screen is IMMEDIATELY START only.

I think the key words here are MAIN and SCREEN.
It looks to me like in the MAIN SCREEN the next sequence is immediate start. I don't think that in the next seq screen this behaviour applies, otherwise it would talk about the next seq screen, not main screen.

I think OS2 looks really great and am looking forward to it.
If you don't like it, then don't get it. Spend your money on some music and stop moaning please.

Im not moaning
i just wundered over this thing because it seemed to me that he was ripping some inportant stuff out!

I agree that OS2 looks great, but im more concerned about the live capability of the OS2 then others it seems.

I deffinately plan on getting Ver. 2, and I'm still incredably thankful for JJ. Now that I see you still get the internal metronome (thanks fellas). I read on the JJ page that you can use both versions, though not at the same time, that sounds really good to me. I also read on this post that you would choose whichever one by holding Tap Tempo or not. Where did that come from? Is this just a guess? I'm really starting to think that eventually there will be several versions to choose from depending on the options that are right for the user. (I realize it is that way now with versions one and two, as well as old versions that include things like pong or the removed Pad function.) I'm so glad I bought this machine. Even with the severe pad problem. Thank you JJ. Can't wait till mid December...

man,All i wanted to mess with is non destructive chopping, being a former ASRx user. Its **** up i can only get a chance to do so w/o some features i use regularly now.......

I AGREE with whoever said 3-band eq option in filter 1.....that would solve the issue that those who are going to miss the filter 2 are having. Im pretty sure the reason those ppl are mad Filter 2 is gone is becuz they use it as a eq of sorts, myself included.

ASDR- ehhhh. dont need it really.( asrx had this also, for my needs, its unecessary) Dope to have, but i dont need it, guess cats have a use for it tho. for me, its not a big deal.

I just really wish i got a chance to have non destructive chopping in OS1. great time saver, very work flow friendly.

velocity layers, ASDR, etc. = whatever. :(

BIG UPS TO JJ regardless, but this my 2 cents.

wow, thats exactly how i feel.
non destructive chopping is finally here and i might not be able to take advantage of it.... :?

will the real time pitch shift (mixer mode) still be there?
wouldn't it be better to get rid of it instead of getting rid of the second filter (getting rid of real time pitch would still allow users to have backward compatibility...) :?

 if your that desperate about having dub delays get your self a fx box. the fx that are in the jj os right now is much more needed then king tubby sirens. for most people anyway. sh*t is getting out of hand with the os v2.

heyehey no need - cos i like>>

delay set to sync, then slider=tempo change is wikked, just set the fb high and cutoff low - then eq+comp in the master fx, u get nice dubstuff, mbe a dead absorbtive reverb in fx2 there too...its lushoss

i think you can get external delays that sync to mtc or midi beat clock.

as i stated in another thread, i'd personally rather have a gate with sidechain if he was going to add any new effects to the mpc.

nice tip arebee...

seems daft to compromise bread and butter fx to get king tubbyish wobble fx. or any other "novelty" fx. seems that everytime jj announces something new is going down folks start asking for whack sh*t.
"throw out all fx and give me radical tape echos" pffft.
