syncing to LOGIC

Q.
Ive got Logic where i sequence alot of complex stuff(vox,etc).
but ofcourse the drum tracks never sound tight, as it feels it is always drifting from one part to the next , i was looking to get the mpc for this reason,well not just this but.. if i send Logic's midiclock to the mpc , does it still retain its tight seq feel on its own, or does the mpc have to be master of logic. know what i mean? thanks, sorry if this is obviously simple..

in my experience it works perfectly fine with logic as the master. the mpc keeps its feel which is a product of the swing etc. logic has difficult reading the midic clock when it is run as a slave to mpc. because the resolution of logic's timing is so much greater than the mpc it recalculates the tempo endlessly.

you may not hear it in the mpc but it could cause some sync problems with parts coming from other synths and samplers.[/b]

Im sporting that exact setup....Logic 5.5(I use PC) synced with the MPC 1000. Its a sick setup you cant go wrong with the MPC and Logic working together. The MPC most definately retains its swingy sequencer feel because all your doing is slaving it to Logic. When you hit play in Logic bamn the MPC is synced. The one thing you need to be worrying about though is latency. Some Midi clocks are not as tight as others.
