do i need to learn akai os if i plan to by jj os1?

i just bought the newest revision of the mpc 1000 but im use to the mpc 2000xl os, do i need to learn the akai os 2.11 if i want to download the latest jj os or is the jj os so different that i dont need to learn 2.11. please help me out ?

JJ is the same as akai with more on top, jam in the middle and a light honey coating, dont bother with the Akai if you intend to go to JJ and if you dont intend to ur fooling yourself because its vastly better.

i recommend that you don't, since you'll have to relearn some things anyway
plus the akai os has too many bugs to make it worth while
try MOVING something in step edit and watch your sequence break...

do i need to inform Akai Professional in writing if I intend to use JJ OS at any point in the next 5 years or thereafter?
