SCSI IoMega 250 Not Being Detected

I just bought this IoMega 250 ZIP and have been trying to save or atleast start the process on transfering My diskettes, BUT, Everytime I attempt to get this going, My 3000 just says that it can't detect a SCSI being connected.
I have the wire in the "ZIP" Slot and have toyed with the off/on and 5/6 switches in the back but....nothing.
ANY help would be appreciated.

Back of SCSI should be ID #6 & should be Termination ON & in the MPC set it to #6 aswel and then put a fresh zip in or one you already have with some stuff on itl and it should work fine if it doesn't then the drive is bad.

You'll need to format the ZIP cart with your MPC3000 first.

Then you'll have to make the disk active after the format process has completed.

Have you done this ?

Which is a good indication that you have not formatted the disk.

If you have not formatted the disk with the MPC3000 then it has not been prepared for use.

...and then select the option to format a SCSI device.

i had the same problem....you might have the wrong cable...i bought one from VST and problem solved. along with 3.11 os
