Nym, could you perhaps make a little video about this, i totally agree on both points and especially on the looseness of the pads.. that isn't like how it supposed to be and it irritates me :/

any new ideas for this? nym- how is this working out for you?

also- is the process for removing the pad assembly EXACTLY the same as with the old pads? like, are there any extra screws, or disconnections to watch out for?

i'm still on the default setup and probably will be til december when i have access to more time/tools. meanwhile, though that space is annoying, it's barely noticeable and i'm playing away happily.

I think you just got to get used to it a little bit, if you've been playing for 2 years on bad pads and that is what your used too it's kinda different.. i got the fix for a week now so and didn't have much time for it, only played some beats live at a gig wich went pretty well i guess and made some idea's.. but i actually still use full level for most parts and for hihats i just play with the velocity

I'm wondering if the new MPC's that come with the 'upgrade' installed also have this space between pad and sensor.

so you didnt use the carpet tape/ card stock technique? i was thinking of trying thsi, but im not sure it would work and i dont want to **** up the sensors. what do you think?
