Discuss the various methods you use in music production, from compressor settings to equipment type.

i have a sound that i've assigned to different pads that each have a different pitch set to them.

i've recorded myself playin those sounds at full level velocity, but i want to use step edit to change the velocities of individual notes.

however...when i change the velocity past a certain point (126 if i remember), the pitch changes. i know it's probably to do with the velocity field underneath where you can change the pitch (Programs>params, tone window), but changing the velocity level there seems to have no effect.

thanks

You might have to copy your sound, and then try to change the pitch to where you had them before. Then once you have seperated, and tweaked them to your liking. Try step edit now and see if that will change it for you.

In the step edit mode there's a way to make changes to all the notes in that bar/beat/tick or just one note you have to make sure you select the pad for the sound you want to adjust
