The 1k you just set the Bpm's put the sample as a one shot, put it on the one in step edit and you got a perfect loop everytime. This is a bug me thinks. I hope Akai fixes it with the next update.

Thanks for the support guys I appreciate it!

sorry to hear you are not doing good with the 4k homie!!!

BTW Those suggestions may work for a regular sample, but what do you do in the case of a crossfade loop where there is no extra ends to cutoff with the sequencer?

I've been able to get it looping, "better" with duration, but it's still not perfect.

Also as far as getting it to loop in the sequence...if you need it at an exact BPM, how do you do that.......I need things to be accurate!

Isn't this simply the VCA EG at work? When the note that triggers this sample ends in the sequence track, the VCA's release stage is entered, and the sound will be muted, with a speed depending on the release level.

Just to check this, does changing the release value affect this situation?

Rob thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I messed with release and attack together...that seemed to help quite a bit. I was messing with those before, but I guess I wasn't messing with those right. I think I got it now, or pretty damn close...thanks.

For the bpm count out the bars go to sample/region press the region page press the the bpm page enter the number of beats and it should give the correct sample bpm. BTW I will experiment and let you know how a crossfade loop comes out.

:D

BTW what's a VCA EG? And do you guys have any tips on using the amp envelope to the fullest....I don't have much experience with ADSR.

Where Synthesis comes in ^, you'll know this machine inside out if you take the time to learn that, but I am pretty much confused by what your saying cause I havent ran into this problem

I manually retrigger my loops for timing reasons, cause shit can drift off of time, after you adjust the trucate duration, you should well I have been able to just hold down a pad as long as I wanted over the loop and it won't cut the duration off, shit will start sounding bad though

Sounds like you may be using some well config sounds though with envelopes and etc etc, just turn all the ish off and try again no reason this should be a problem

VCA is Voltage Controller Amplifer If my memory serves me right btw, Amps basically control volume, you know fade outs,(combined with an Envelope) attacks, decays, etc etc, sounds like your problem
