I've had my 2500 for a month or so, and have been using the ebook from MPC-samples.com which has really helped a great deal. I'm off to Japan for a month and am thinking about getting a 500 as there's no way i can take my 2500 with me, and the 500 will be useful when I'm back in the uk as I could take it to work etc, plus they're pretty cheap out there.

My main question is how different are they? Would it be worthwhile getting the 500 ebook or would it just be a waste of money? I plan on doing some serious sampling before I go so I've got sh**loads of stuff to work with as I won't be able to do much (if any) sampling while I'm there. Just don't want to waste money on the ebook if it's not really gonna help me.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

It really depends on what areas you need help with. If it's OS specific, then the 500 has quite a different take on the OS of the 2500, so the book will help. If you need help on more general ideas, then the principles are the same no matter what MPC you use so bying both books will not really be worthwhile.

Either way, if you send me an email to [email protected] with your original order number and email, I'll do you a deal on the MPC500 book :)

i have both the 500 and 2500

honestly the 500 is very easy . somethings even quicker on the 500 due to lack of menus once you know the key combinations to do things

i dont think you will have any problems with the 500

personally i am selling my 500 now i have 2500 but I have no need for portability , if i did i probably would keep it

Just compare the features. The only advantage of the 500 is it's portability, everything else is cut down I think.

yes but i want to know that not theoretically, but from a 2500 user before 500 user.

because he says also that is more easy use 500 and usually people says that it is more difficult because is a finger trap and have not sensitive pads
