.All file changed in Mac G4

Got a serious problem. Put the zip disk in from the MPC2k XL into the G4 to copy file to cd for backup. when i placed the zip disk back in 2kXL and tried to reload the .all file now has (originalname y7.all). Even the back up cd has this name on the file. Any takers as to how this happened or how i can resolve this.

Please help.

Your mac probably changed cause there was already something named that on your computer maybe?

I thought about that but the file has a name of it own in a seperate folder, and the file name doesn't show up on the mac just when i put it in the mpc.

I don't understand you put the zip in the computer after you jsut took it out the MPC and took the files off the zip and put them in a folder on the MAC and then you loaded it back in the MPC and now the All files is gone?

i backed up the files (made a copy) from the zip to the mac and then placed the files on CD. Never moving the files from the zip drive when i finished i put the zip back in the 2kxl and the .All file was renamed from "originalname.all to originalname y7.all". I hope i explained it better, please help.
