on a side note, i learned that this performance guarantee is divided into two categories:

so basically, by default i'm not eligible for flat-out replacement

sounds like you basically got conned out of 120 bucks

however, the thing shorting out could be considered a 'failure' as the mpc will fail to start and they will really have no proof that you did anything to cause it.

How do you fry the board? What is an easy way to do it without tell tale sign that showed somebody sabotage it? I am thinking about doing it cause Im covered under the warranty.

take a garbage flash card, smear fingernail paint all up in the connector area, and pop it in the mpc, and have a fire extinguisher handy.
