is there an after market mpc manual

i notice a lot of after market manuals are much easier to read ,they have full color pictures and are just layed out better than manufacturers manuals ,i was wonderin if there was one of theese for the mpc , im havin trouble saving sequences ,anyone?

While we're on the subject, does anyone have a good tutorial for the step edit mode? I understand at least the fundamentals of the rest of the OS, and even understand the BASICS of step edit, but I keep hearing about how powerful it is to edit with, and I feel a bit clueless about certain aspects of it...

step edit is definately a powerfull tool on the MPC and good for many things. Basically allows you to edit any parameter(velocity, filter cuttoff, tune) or event(a note in a sequence). Just mess around with it. Record a sequence normally and then go into step edit mode and tweak some ish.

Read page 30 of your manual, there really isn't that much to it. I find if I can't get it to sound right the step edit mode works wonders.

I especially like to edit the individual velocities to create dynamics. You could be amazed at how you can make an iffy track sound right.

anyway...as for the question that you asked about the aftermarket manual, i did a google search and a yahoo search and nothing came up..probably to new to have an aftermarket book out yet for the 1000...good idea though for us users.

yo, i answered your question....sheesh...

I get how to change all the note parameters like velocity, pad number, etc, but I can't figure out how to change the actual TIME of the event. Like say I have a hit at "003.02.74" and I want it to hit at "003.03.00", how do I change it? I think there's some button I should be hitting that I'm not.

Hey, someone remembered! I've been offline for a week, so I missed a lot of questions, but I'm back...

You can take the #a13 off the end, it's not necessary. I renamed the internal links, now it's by category e.g. #samp01
