rather than payin forat 600 bucks to paint the mpc, btw i have not even seen an 1000 paintjob on their website so i doubt they even doing it. I was thinking of painting the red sides myself. it can be witout disasemble, using some newspaper and strong tape just cover all areas except the sides. I just dont know what color or type of spray paint ???? hmmmmm, maybe black, blue, grey?? although a forat dark wood panel would be nice !!!!!! u guys remember snoop in mtv cribs, he had the hottest 3000, shit had wood trim all around and i think it was dark blue or black?/

just undo the sides and paint them yellow to match the lettering

I'd definitely take the time to disassemble it.. that way you don't accidentally get any over spray on your MPC. It is worth the extra few minutes it takes to disassemble it.

I've been thinking about painting my sides or making some wooden ones as well. I saw some spray paint specifically made for plastic at the hardware store the other day. Apparently it bonds better to plastic than other paints. You might also want to paint the rec and over dub buttons as well as the CF slot trim. I think the red is trim is really hideous, but I've just been living with it for now.. haven't found the time to do a paint job.

Strictly speaking, Aka 赤 is Red, but it's Akai 赤い when used as an adjective (to describe something) e.g. 赤い羽根 = akai hane = red feather.

I'm learning Nihon-go... and what a messed-up language it is. So much is borrowed from other languages and symbols have developed multiple meanings over time. e.g. 仏 means a) Buddha, b) the Dead, c) France, depending on context...

Yeah, I got one too (I'm a swede, I have to use Clavia products ;) Too bad the blue isn't a bit more purple looking like the Nord. Then it would be a perfect match!
