nah, i think there is an issue on your side. you got the new pads (single sheet of pads) rather than replacement pads (each pad comes individually)?

you should easily be able to get 127 on 4.94...

i've definitely got the new pads... i've even posted pics of them... are there any other settings in JJ OS that i should try adjusting? the master level in OTHER Mode is strictly for volume, right? or does that also affect the PRESSURE of the pads? (i don't see why it should...)

EDIT: i can get 127 in PAD MODE if i press and hold a pad down... but not by just tapping it kinda hard like when playing drums... is this normal?

maybe it has something to do with what kind of 1k you have. like older or newer. newer before pad replacement or something. maybe....

yeah... the fact that my model is a MPC1000BK [without the N] has me thinking that maybe AKAI started taking the older models back from the stores and just modifying them with the new pads and putting them back on the shelves... because it does have the new pads and i just bought it 2 weeks ago. but now i have my doubts about whether or not is was built to have them (if that makes any sense).

does anyone here even have the MPC1000BKN?? i have yet to actually see one.
