I have a Yamaha PSR-E403 Keyboard, not the best keyboard in the world I know but the sounds are great. I have an mpc 1000 and a version of cakewalk and I wanted to know if and how it was possible, with the equipment i have, to send live sounds from this keyboard to my laptop or do I need a more expensive keyboard. Also whats the best or easiest software to use to collect live sounds from a keyboard or mpc.

Port info: Yamaha PSR-E4O3 has x1 USB port, x1 Sustain and x1 phones/output

you can probably use a midi out from your keyboard and midi in from your computer. i dont know if cakewalk supports that. but thats how you do it in fruity loops. then you can hook up the audio out of the keyboard to the audio in of your computer.
