removing RAM and harddrive

i've recently acquired a new mpc (through perfectly legal means, i assure you) and i want to remove my old ram and hd to put into the new mpc. i assume this will be ok, but im not sure, especially because im not sure how the jj os addresses the harddrive/ accesses RAM. anyone have anything useful to say about this?

i did, because the mpc wont recognize the hard drive until you do. but it was fine after that. thanks.

Are you able to save on the new machine?

I thought that required a new activation key.
