you don't. with OS2 installed you have the option to boot from either OS.

Let's say that you install OS2 and you turn on the MPC and it boots to OS2, this will be the default option.

HOWEVER

If you turn off the MPC and this time hold TAP TEMPO as you turn it back on, it will boot into OS 1 and will continue to do so until you hold TAP TEMPO again during power-on which will set the default back to OS2.

for some reason my mpc won't record aftertouch in a sequence.. when im using jj's synth with filter aftertouch, it plays as im playing the pads but when i play back it seems as if theres no aftertouch info stored, anybody want to clue me in? sorry if this has already been discussed

For a bug, aftertouch is recorded, but not played back.

I don't understand why JJ haven't moved the global pgm mode to the old program mode pad where the template says "program". Now its just a pad without any function

yeah I think that's dumb also, not because of the labeling (I don't have any) but because it just makes sense

I can't seem to find the Os2 feature request thread, i thought there was one, anyway
yo yo nym what's up with the sample Loading in os 2, is it finally like the mpc 4000 where after you load a sample from the preview list the list doesn't return back to the beginning of the list and instead you keep loading samples from where ever you left off???

unfortunately i'm finding more bugs as i was about to answer your question to nym. when i went to assign a sample to a pad after loading, the screen looked all weird and i got a "CPU Address error".

OS2 is going to be a while before it's stable enough for me to purchase. but for now i'll have to report as many bugs as i can find.

Back to your question, stale bread.... yes it does remember the last sample in the list.

I just don't know why it crashed before. The bugs I've seen are very random.The screen just got weird again, but it didn't crash this time.

cool, well that's one big headache thats gone then.

I also noticed this in OS1 ver. 4.95 as well.
