SERIOUS problem with the new pads!

Alright so i installed the new pad upgrade from mpcstuff and i followed the video ! i did everything i should do, but when i turn it on, the pads dont work first of all and the screen is flickering(this only starts after it says how much ram is loaded).I tried unplugging the new pads and plug the old back in and it worked dandy and the screen was perfect, and then tried with the akai os(i was on jj, thought that might be the problem), i then reinstalled the new pads and the same problem occured. What the eff did i do wrong? this is so strange, i even pulled the ram out thinking that might be the problem but nooooo. Im so lost right now.. HELP!!!

oh and by the way, the flickering starts right away in the akai os in contrast to the jj os where it started after the RAM LOADED screen..

talk to Mike at mpc-stuff. the problem is with some diode they put into the akai pad fix pcb. even their pad fix has bugs - the capacitor or whatever causing the screen to flicker, as reported several times on the forum, and that problem with the short cable freezerman reported.

mike will sort you out.

yeah shipping is two weeks each way.. but fortunately my old pads arent **** so im good...

you could always take a soldering iron and resolder the diode in. you can't miss it, it's the one that looks like it was put in by a kindergartener. mine looked sketchy as hell when i was given my pad fix, but it worked fine and it's safely tucked away inside the mpc.

check the solder joints and re-solder what's loose. it'll take 2 minutes.
use a magnifying glass to check all the joints.
