Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

There is a noise (sounds a bit like white noise) when nothing is plugged into the inputs, and also when there is a mixer plugged in to it.
My rec gain is set to min.

Is there any possibility to repair the inputs?

Try re-seating your memory, or buy new ones.

maybe you have to check your electricity... if its in the same group as your pc this can cause humming sound... or maybe there is a bee inside.

Just curious...why do you think it's the Inputs that are wrong?

Because:
- when i load the sounds (not recorded by the MPC) from a zip drive
and play them, there is no noise,
- when i disconnect the cables (from a mixer) and start recording, the mpc is
recording only that noise
- i checked the mixer outputs in headphones and there was no noise
- sample mode detects a weak signal when nothing is played
- after removing memory, it still records this noise

I think thats is, but i also think that there may be a problem with the electronic parts.
