Don't dig downtown it's tax. Go to the outskirts and suburbs of Chicago they are tons of record shops.

where in chicago? downtown? suburbs? i was in chicagoland a month ago (visiting my hometown) and found a stash in the suburbs that would be worth your time. its in the nw suburbs - barrington. if i remember correctly it's called rainbow records and it is on route 14 in barrington. not a very well organized shop, but they have boxes and boxes of records for you to dig thru...and i'm positive it is an undiscovered spot...a much better place to dig than the spots downtown (clark/belmont - and all that area) b/c those spots have already been overdug.

haha, i was at rainbow the other day, picked up a professor longhair record. its a cool little spot.
