Just got my mpc2500 on tuesday...

I got the tutorials for 2500 from the thread on this forum...its really helping...so whoever did that...RESPECT...

But i got a problem, if i chop a sample in Fruity Loops via edison, save the sample as a .wav file and transfer it to the MPC it seems to recognise only around %20 of the files...when i try to load the file into my mpc i simply get a message reading 'wrong file' any ideas why this is happening to some of the files???

It cant be FL as some of the files work...funnily enough if I open the files in Cool Edit and resample at 16 bit most of them open on the MPC...

I dont have a HDD or CD drive in the MPC so they arent an option...plus my turntables mixer is broken so I cant sample via vinyl at the moment...unless I can route it via my focusrite 26i/o and use that for pre-amplification and run it via there into the MPC record in ??? anyone ???

Any help would be much appreciated...and sorry if any of this has been posted before...i did search a couple of times but couldnt find anything...

Peace

Ive figured out why this 'wrong file' error occurs now...jst though i would update this in case anyone else experiences the error in the future.

it seems to be when the file name is large...over around 8 characters and also when the file size is quite large or there is not enough memory to load the sample.
