Hooking up my mpc 2000 xl

Just copped the mpc 2000 xl and need some advice on what is needed
to get going as far as sampling from records. have a vestax mixer,amp
and zip drive. What else do i need to get moving?? any help much appreciated
total beatmaker novice... Also what leads etc...

turntable, wires.

You'll probably need some 1/4" to rca cables to go from the mpc to the mixer.Also make sure the zip drive is scsi and not parallel. You'll need the proper scsi cable for that. The 2kxl has a 50 half pin connection. You'll have to figure out what kinda connection the zip drive has. You'll need 100mb zip disks. Try and good good cartridges for the turntable. I recommend ortofon or shure. You will definitely need lots of time to practice and you will most definitely need the owners manual.
