I just got an MPC 1000 and I saved a sample from Sound Forge onto the flashcard. I loaded the sample onto the MPC and I tried to trim it and chop it up. When I did it asked me to select how many parts I wanted to chop it up into, and i selected 16, it said insufficient memory. Why is this, it seems impossible that I should have insufficient memory because I literally just got the mpc.

How do I solve this problem and how do I delete that sample from the MPC?

Thank you.

Thank you very much. I feel like an idiot cause I read more posts and found the answer. Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.

What about deleting samples on the mpc, not on the FC, but on off the mpc itself?

to delete samples currently in ram and not assigned to a program goto program mode and hit purge. if you want to delete a program then highlight the program field and push the window button. here you can delete the program. then purge again so the now unassigned samples from the program you just deleted are erased. be warned purging can take some time if you delete a lot at the same time.
